Why choose Pompey? Why Not?
  • Four miles of coastline
  • Fantastic views of the unrivalled sailing waters of The Solent
  • Open spaces
  • Parks and gardens
  • More sunshine hours than most other places,
  • Get a top tan in the summer (saves the expense of the tanning salon!!)

Quite the tourist?

The funfair and bustling tourist beach area can be found on the busy west side of the island. If travelling is your passion why not head over to France, Spain or the Isle of Wight. If you come to Pompey you immediately open your doors to the open Southsea space surrounding you.

Like the peace and quiet?

The quiet beach, ideal for BBQ’s and sports can be found on the east side.

Into extreme sports?

There are two play areas along the seafront for children of all ages and Southsea Skatepark caters for extreme sports such as skate boarding, in-line skating and BMX bikes.

Into contact sports?

The seafront also offers facilities such as a cricket pitch, tennis, bowls, crazy golf and pitch and putt. Adjacent to the beach and seafront promenade, Southsea Common is a vast open space. It is ideal for kite flying informal ball games.

Do you like the view?

j

You won't just see a great view, you will see a 'Pompey' view which is undescribable.
